CloudCamp 2022 graduates are ready for their Cloud journey
CloudCamp 2022, organized by Commencis for the third time in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), was a success, with new graduates. Among the applications received, 25 participants were chosen to participate in the 6-week online training program.
What is CloudCamp?
CloudCamp is a comprehensive free of charge training program hosted by Commencis in collaboration with AWS. During the program, students from various universities with a passion for cloud computing come together to learn about the future of cloud computing technologies. Commencis CloudCamp enables students to improve their fundamental cloud computing skills while also learning about the future of cloud computing technologies. Students in the program are instructed by experienced cloud computing experts and solution architects.
Why does Commencis host CloudCamp?
Cloud technologies and AWS Cloud are hot topics in today’s tech world, and their enormous capabilities are critical for businesses in a wide range of industries and public institutions. Cloud computing is one of the fastest growing professions. As many organizations around the world choose cloud services, there is an increasing demand for Cloud experts.
Commencis CloudCamp prepares university students for the field of cloud computing by providing them with the necessary skills and competencies to help them start their career journeys in the Cloud.
How was CloudCamp 2022?
CloudCamp 2022 started on January 25th and was completed successfully in an intense 6-weeks period. More than 1000 students from various universities applied for the program, where only 25 students could have the opportunity to attend the program. Applicants who completed the program successfully over this 6-week period had the chance to take their internationally-recognized AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate test which indicates proficiency in the AWS product catalogue.
What is the curriculum of the CloudCamp and which skills are taught?
1. Technical Skills for Cloud Concepts
The curriculum provides essential technical skills and abilities required for cloud computing applications. As a result, students can learn important tools and concepts in the cloud computing area, as well as the most recent up-to-date technology employed recently. The program also enables students to learn about the latest updates in the world of the internet.
2. AWS Fundamental Cloud Architecture
Attendees can learn about all the tools available on the AWS platform thanks to the class curriculum. Students may master their skills in AWS Cloud, IAM, Relational and Non-relational AWS Databases, serverless computing using Lambda, Fargate, Redshift, EC2, S3, CloudTrail, Global Accelerator, and FSx with the help of excellent instructors. Having an AWS certificate allows new graduates to be considered as experts in the field.
3. Cloud Networking
It is essential to have the basic understanding of networking concepts for anyone who aims to work in the cloud field. CloudCamp helps you to learn about core principals, AWS VPC and its components as well as network security, and hybrid cloud networking solutions including Direct Connect, AWS VPN, and Transit Gateway.
4. Auditing & Security
AWS ensures cloud security and compliance with plenty of its services. Throughout the courses, participants can learn about core concepts and related fundamental services, such as identity & access management (IAM), data protection (KMS, ACM, Secrets Manager), infrastructure protection (WAF, Shield), detection (Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, Config), incident response (Detective), and compliance (Artifact).
5. Building Highly Available and Scalable Products
AWS offers excellent services for IT firms looking to build scalable products, including ECS, ECR, EKS, and Elastic Beanstalk, which can be integrated with CI/CD tools. As a result, you can entirely automate the development and testing of released software products. Furthermore, AWS allows for the seamless deployment of critical applications using the AWS CodeDeploy manage service, which Commencis also uses to build bullet-proof applications.
